It’s that time of the year, the leaves are no longer green, the weather starts to chill, and… Wait, we’re in Southern California and none of that holds true. Luckily for us, we get to enjoy the warm weather we’re having and I intend to do so with the following:
On Saturday, October 20th, I will be spending the day at my office (1308-8 Madera Rd, Simi Valley, CA) giving visitors a free pumpkin. They can also enter to win a free inflatable lawn decoration, just in time for the holidays. Hope to see you there! And don’t forget to bring a copy of this flyer.
“Fall Into Autumn” Fall Concert
Royal High School’s vocal choir department will be presenting a concert featuring music of all styles and genres on Tuesday, October 23rd, at 7PM at Sinaloa Stake Center (480 Sinaloa Rd). There will be a mixture of choral groups and soloists. The whole thing sounds fun and I’m looking forward to hearing their lovely voices.
“James and the Giant Peach” Performance
The kids at Santa Susana High School will be bringing the book (or movie, depending on your preference) to the stage. Next weekend, the family play can be watched on either Friday or Saturday (October 26th and 27th) at 7PM at the Santa Susana Performing Arts Center (3570 Cochran St). Not only do I enjoy the story, but I’m also excited to see the Performing Arts Center.
Mourning Rose Manor
There is no specific date for this, but I’m going to make some time to take the kids to this wonderful local Haunted Mansion on 5250 Aurelia St, Simi Valley. Each year, they seem to outdo themselves, and the overall experience is a great Halloween experience. They even have a crypt!
It’s always great to know that we live in such a wonderful city that such amazing things can be happening all the time. We have talented kids going to the Simi Valley schools and I, for one, intend to support them by watching them perform. We have great neighbors who get into the holiday spirit and like to share that with the rest of the Simi Valley residents. Let’s say thanks by stopping by.
If you see me at all in the next week, make sure to say hello.
